From April to September 2017, I worked as a graphic design intern at Global Brands Group, and made these prints for their Minecraft line of boy’s pajama sets. This was an internship through Drexel University’s co-op program, and it was my first professional position.

During my tenure, I produced over 20 unique print designs, from shirts to socks to all-over prints for pajamas. I have included my favorites here; shirt prints are featured both as standalone compositions, and as proof-of-concept CAD templates along with their corresponding pants. All of these designs were composed with Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.

I had a great deal of fun making these prints and working at Global Brands. I’m also a big Minecraft fan, and it was an honor to work on a property I care deeply about. I frequently researched the game’s community, and I worked closely with my managers to ensure my designs faithfully represented its brand.

I learned many valuable lessons during my time here, from how to create artwork for a client and audience, to how to convey as much information with as little detail as possible. Accomplishing the latter is exceptionally important for creators in this day and age, and I’m thankful for the experience I got creating these designs at Global Brands Group.
