Total Tris: 51,284 (Human model alone), 101,524 (Including base and tools)
This was my final project for my Game Art II class at the University of Connecticut. Completed over the span of a month in April 2023, I started on the character mesh using a human base model within ZBrush, sculpted the necessary details, then brought the model into Blender where I retopologized him and modeled the extra props – the torch, the hammer, and the rose base. After that, I brought the whole model into Substance Painter where I imprinted the high-poly model bake onto the medium-poly model, and textured the scene before finally bringing it into Unreal Engine 5 to be lit and rendered.
This figure – “The Man of The Mandrake” – was an attempt at creating a revolutionary symbol for the Citizens Militia, a revolutionary faction in my thesis project The Festival: Hemmingward.
